Artificial Intelligence | eLearning
AI skills in the workplace: Essential? Yes. Dry? They don’t have to be.
Artificial intelligence is here to stay. It writes texts, summarises information, generates ideas, analyses data and sometimes responds so convincingly that you almost forget to take a closer look.
And that is exactly where things get interesting. AI can be enormously useful in everyday working life, but only if employees know how to use it properly. What can I enter into an AI tool? How reliable is the result? Where are the data protection risks? And what does the AI Act have to do with all of this?
In short: Almost anyone can use AI these days. Using it competently is the real challenge.
That is exactly what our new eLearning course, Foundation Course: AI Literacy Vol.2, is all about.
AI is everywhere. Knowledge about it should be too.
Whether you are writing an email, carrying out research or doing a quick brainstorming session, AI tools have long since become part of everyday working life. And let’s be honest: who has not asked an AI tool to “just quickly” phrase something? As useful as that can be, it is just as important to know the limits. Not every piece of information belongs in a prompt, not every answer is automatically correct and not every AI application can simply be used without a second thought. There are also new regulatory requirements to consider. The European AI Act is placing greater emphasis on employees’ AI literacy. For companies, that means anyone using AI should make sure that employees understand what they are doing and why.
The good news is that nobody needs to attend a multi-day AI training course to achieve that.
30 minutes that can make a real difference at work
Our Foundation Course: AI Literacy Vol.2 covers the most important fundamentals in around 30 minutes. That is short enough to fit easily into the working day, while still being comprehensive enough to cover the key points.
Participants learn, among other things,
- what artificial intelligence actually is,
- why AI-generated results should be critically reviewed,
- what risks can arise when using AI,
- what to look out for when it comes to data protection,
- what role the AI Act plays, and
- which simple rules of conduct can help when working with AI.
The aim is not to turn every employee into an AI expert. It is about developing the right judgement.
“Can I just put this into the AI?” Good question.
Copying a document into an AI tool and having it summarised quickly sounds convenient. But does the document contain personal data? Internal information? Confidential content? These are exactly the kinds of everyday situations the course focuses on. Because AI literacy does not begin with complex technical models. It begins with one very simple question: Should I really be doing this right now? Anyone who asks themselves that question at the right moment has already taken an important step.
And then there’s HELGA …
Of course, we could talk about AI, data protection and legal requirements in a completely serious and sober way. We could. But we don’t.
That is because HELGA has found her way into the new course – a slightly cheeky AI that likes to butt in, add her own comments and guide participants through the topic. The result is an eLearning course that turns a current training requirement into something far less dry: it explains the subject clearly while also making it memorable. Because let’s face it: we tend to remember things better when they make us smile.
If training is necessary, it should be as simple as possible
With a fast-moving topic such as artificial intelligence, companies quickly face the question: how do we bring all employees up to the same level of knowledge?
eLearning offers a straightforward solution. It allows companies to build AI skills without major organisational effort and in a way that means the content is not forgotten the moment someone clicks “Complete course”.
AI literacy is no longer a topic for the future
Artificial intelligence has already been changing everyday working life for some time. That makes it all the more important not to leave employees alone with new tools and new questions. Anyone who understands the basics, can assess the risks and knows what to look out for when using AI can make far more confident use of its potential.
Our new Foundation Course: AI Literacy Vol.2 makes getting started simple, clear and entertaining. And who knows? Perhaps your employees will think of HELGA the next time they write a prompt. That might not be such a bad thing.
